This plant is known as Coastal Fan Flower but commonly known as Scaevola in this area.

Reputed to be an extreme source of Vitamin A, B6 and C but there is no reliable data to back this up.

Widely used but Indigenous people and was commonly called Eye Plant.

Common along beaches as sand binder and is environmentally very important.

Very hardy coastal species occurring with Coastal Spinifex (Spinifex Hursutis).

Introduced Bitou Bush (African Boneseed) is in direct competition with this plant and very often overwhelms it.
