Michael Scarrott

Michael Scarrott is proud to have Aboriginal and European ancestry and is a descendant of the Biripi of the mid north coast NSW. The possum is his family clan totem and tribal totem is the shark.

He is a multi disciplinary creative (writer, inventor, visual artist), experienced business operations manager and creative entrepreneur. Michael studied creative arts at Wollongong University, the Actors Centre and N.I.D.A, and holds an Advanced Diploma in the Arts from the University of New England along with VET recognised qualifications in business management.

As the founder of Skins Art Gallery, Michael is developing unique artwork concepts for the international market. His work is inspired by ancestry and contemplates human interconnectedness with nature. A descendant of the Cook family, Gloucester NSW, he shares a passion for development, innovation and Indigenous leadership.
